Is There a Horizon?

As children, we're told that the difference between the ground and the sky at a distance is called the horizon. We test that out and we run towards the horizon but can never get to it. The ideal isn't in relationship to space, it's in relationship to time. So one of our ways of dealing with time is we create a picture of the future for ourselves. It has to be an ideal - very exciting motivating future.
