The Opposite Cosmology to Heat Death
The second law of thermal dynamics is the idea that entropy must always grow. Once everything is evened out, the energy becomes useless and you can't use it anymore. It's literally impossible to build a clock because nothing changes in heat death. Time from a physics viewpoint is usually based on the ability to building a clock. If you can't build a clock, you've got no time.
