Is There a Relational Death?
The most important thing to pay attention to in the story is that they don't physically die on the day that they eat it. There's some sort of death here that we're dead to God, not in God's father way. And so give it whatever name you want in modern theology, it's called spiritual death. That's what I was trying to get at with this picture right here.
