The Electric Pill That Stimulates the Stomach
Scientists have developed a pill that sends electric pulses through the stomach. The tiny capsule has grooves on its surface to help it stick to the mucus lining of the stomach. When they measured ghrelin levels in pigs' blood, those who had ingested the electric pill had increased ghrelin compared to controls. However, further tests are needed to see if this leads to increased appetite or decreased nausea.
