After its music division merged with the Burtos Man Music Group in 2004, the new company continued to experiment with various DRM schemes. Sony BMG decided to incorporate these DRM solutions into 52 of their music titles to be released in North America. 2 million CDs with First for Internet's XCP software and 20 million more with Media Max.
