Kirsten Gillibrand was asked to be the White House's acting science advisor a year ago. She says it emerged as something that people kept mentioning, but I don't know what we're going to do there. "I can't tell you a single person and a high level leadership role in HHS who has said anything other than, we've got to do this," she says. But now, of course, Kirsten will have to wait for Congress to decide whether or not they agree with her plan.
