i'm sure kevin can speak to this in the sense that i do think that non fiction feels a very particular way. The goal is almost to somehow, like, transcend the subject in a particular way. But it's very dangerous to go into non fiction thinking about that, sort of, like romantic poetic angle. So really it's much more about turning on and off, like the more romantic parts of my brain when i write either or.
