The Importance of Memetic Desire

"Memetic desire" is a fancy word for imitation. Contrary to popular belief, our desires are not generated totally spontaneously, even though we think that they are. We're always caught up in this web of desire and it's social. Even now just wanting to drink water, we can look to models to tell us which kind of water to drink.
