The national guard is available to deploy overseas and fight the nation's wars. They're also, at the same time, on call for missions under the direction of their respective governors. Governor gregg abbott has deployed ten thousand of them to tackle what he calls a failure of the bidon administration's emigration policy at the border. Operation loan star ends that balance by taking this state mission concept and making it long term. The texas national guard will be sending more soldiers to the southwest border to help with operation loan star.
And in Texas, they’re trying to unionize.
