The Utility of Edifice

The Lozngwattari say that it's only the illegitimate use of the synthesis of connection or whatnot that creates names and persons. When you actually get to the realm of desiring machines, when you go to the imminent aspect of the unconscious, the names don't stick to the persons. You have to have this illegitimate usage in order for edifice to work at all. So in that sense, edifice is a fiction, but it obviously is a fiction that works.
