The Importance of Being Open to Your Normal Life

I've never had massive amounts of blowback. I have very often had confused books. Like in church, I used to be in charge of the Sunday school for my congregation. And a new person would come in and they'd be like, what do you do? Because it comes up like, I write scary books. They were so taken aback by that. It was just women writers sell better in that genre. So again, it's timing and it's understanding.
