How to Measure the Magnetic Field in a Coil

Shawn's made some coils about the size and shape of a drinking straw wired up to a voltmeter. As we stick anything in the coils we can measure how much that thing affects the current in the coil. We've just made a gadget that can in principle measure how strong a magnet anything is. So you could put your finger in that and it would be a changing voltage but it would just be purportedly smaller yeah because the net magnetization if you're liking your finger is smaller than a piece of nickel. You could try a pen to some piece of graphite. I was just looking for a piece of pencil and I haven't done one. No. No. It wouldn't work
