Introduction

Ryan and Amelia Soucy went from living in a city, where Ryan consistently worked 80 to 100 hours a week, to a completely off grid homestead in upstate NY. He worked as a fireman for a federal contractor while she was getting a degree in homeland security and emergency management. They moved into a run down RV with 2 dogs and brought their chickens with them. They bought a shed and turned it into a one room cabin.
