My dad was separated from his family when he was only 12 years old during the korean war. He grew up like an orphan on the streets of south corea. In 19 86, after he had emigrated to the states, my sisters and i were all born here. The north creen government somehow managed to locate him; they informed him that his mother and younger siblings were still alive and that his father had died during the war. And despite the fact that the north corean ment had a reputation for kidnapping people, he was determined to go. After 35 years, he was reunited with his family and able to see his mother before she died.
