Candida Overgrowth - Is CFO a Microbe?
CFO is an abnormal number of fungal organisms in the small intestine associated with irritable bowel syndrome. In general we're talking about Candida, a commensal microbe that can be prone to overgrowth. So when people talk about CFO are they actually talking about CFO or can we have overgrowth of other fungal communities in the gut that would also contribute? That's a good question.
