Is There a Savior Complex?
If you're really wanting to build a healthy, secure relationship, you're going to have to rewire your system. The last one here is that you have a savior complex and you want to be the one to change them. It's a very common trope, again, particularly among those with an anxious attachment style. We seek out people who are not ready and available and willing and able but we persist in the dynamic even though it isn't working.
