Are You Criticizing American Education?
I was worried that I might be coming across as anti-American, which isn't at all what I intend to do. Most of the people in education who I admire most are Americans. It's not my aim to point out weaknesses of American education in particular but my greater knowledge of that than of other countries gives me ample examples to draw from. And those examples unfortunately tend to take negative rather than positive form more often than not.
