In terms of your numbers look good, you have no debt other than a mortgage which will be paid off by the end of this year. You also have just shy of $2 million across a variety of accounts. The reason why I'm not sure that you are asking a finance question is because of the way that you phrase the question,. Are we nuts to want to retire early? We haven't seen any real-life examples. It's scary.
