Petfinder - Don't Show Me Pit Bulls

Petfinder is a baitin switch. Put up a picture of a dog that you know someone isn't going to be able to adopt. But it attracts someone who then applies, and they earn permission from the shelter. On craigs list, puppy mills are now pretending to be shelters. So all this fills me with hope, but it's also tragedy. It's a tragedy because human beings manipulate a system for profit without worrying about what will happen to that dog when it grows up. And as information keeps going faster, it continues to reshape our culture.
