Borges was fascinated with Barkley and idealism. The two thinkers that influenced him most were from what he could tell are Barkley and Sharkley. In their view, metaphysics is a branch of the literature of fantasy. And logically, if there's no objective world for a philosophy to correspond to, there's no difference between fantasy literature and metaphysics.
