How Long Was the Process Even Before You Started Writing the Screenplay?
i was intimidated by the idea of writing a feature length screen play. i turned out the first draft in probably five or six weeks, and it was pretty close to the finished film that you see from there. When i broke the news to them that i wanted to direct donny darko, then you could see the just the blood run out of their faces. People really flipped out for it. Eventually, jason swartzman reads it,. He's hot off of rushmore i get a meeting with jason, and he attaches himself. So all of a sudden it's back in the game, and i've been validated, cause jason Swartzman has said he will work
