Jason: If the relationship between welfare and down to properties isn't one of identity, then I'm quite happy to suggest there is a kind of dependence relationship between them. These things are such that they bring about down to status. So God sees these factors and he prohibits it. Jason: Only moral theory that doesn't fall afoul of this kind of intuition would be a reductive naturalism which simply says that moral whiteness is identical with certain natural facts about welfare.
