The UK's nuclear deterrent doesn't really belong to the UK, it mostly belongs to the US. The French were not willing to integrate and place their nuclear warheads at America's disposal. So this was the demand that was made on the French. And after Mr. Blair, Mr. Tony Blair, it all went haywire and didn't go haywire.
