The Story of the Inca Emperor Ataahalpa
In 15 32, the most dramatic moment in subsequent european native american relations was the first encounter between the inca emperor ataahalpa and the spanish conquistidor francisco pizarro. Atawahalpa was currently on a victory tour of an empire he had only very recently claimed after a bloody civil war. When it became clear that these foreign forces weren't going anywhere, a meeting was arranged at the mountain town of kashamarka. Nevertheless, pizarro captured atahalpa within a few min after the two leaders first set eyes on each other.
