The Importance of Perseverance

Prayer and work are in response to the desire to not pray. Perseverance is leaving that perseverance up to someone other than yourself. The last one is tears, which might be kind of surprising when Acedia is tied with despair and sadness. It's admitting that acknowledging that one needs to be saved.
