The Documentary Hypothesis of the Hebrew Bible
The corps argument, or corps idea, that has been the most intensely debated in modern biblical scholarship about the hebrew bible is called the documentary hypothesis. The documentary hypothesis was first put forward by a german scholar who noticed a common repeating phenomenon in the first books of the tora, genesis and exodus. And interestingly, according to the gloss that we see in that chapter of the book of exodus, it was that that repeated passage that i read to you, was sung by miriam and other women.
