Red Phone Boxes and the Rain Are Stereotypes of British Culture
Stereos is a strangely constructed word, stereo and type. It's actually from the eighteenth century, before any music playing devices. The etymology helps us here. We can use it as a noun to say something is a firm first impression. And we call these fry ups, a fry up slang for a full english breakfast. But just before we go, let's run through the most common stereotypes of british culture: fish and ships, roast dinners, cups of tea and full English breakfasts.
