The Importance of Biomechanics in Orthopedics

The reason we tore in the first place is because the tissue quality was not normal. We shouldn't be surprised that if we don't do anything to change the natural history other than just put it back down to bone and hope that it stays there, we may get the same outcome one year later with a retare. So we're looking for ways to trick our bodies, as I said, in an economically responsible fashion to prevent the recurrence of a tear.
