Is It Enough to Fund an Insurgency?
An insurgency is very difficult to obviously, fund, especially with robust support. You have to pick out the actors very carefully and know the endpoint. I worry that by receding and letting russia overthrow a government and just do an imperialistic territory grab, other countries who might want o pursue a nuclear weapon may say: you know what? If we can just withstand sanctions for a little bit, we can go get that nuclear weapon. It's full deterrance against anything the us. And west will do due to us. We can make land grabs. We can go dictate mutual defense packs.
