The Random Selection of Jury Duty in Massachusetts
In Massachusetts, a jury of your peers is a random selection of people who live in your county. The goal is to send a representative and diverse group of people to every court on the days that they need jurors. If you're called for jury duty, you'll be shown a video that explains what's expected of you. Women couldn't serve on juries until 1950.
