Is There a Self in Buddhism?

I think we always want more, more of this kind of light rather than less of it. It's like you have different inner selves that might be children. Some might be pre-verbal. I've known some Buddhist who did things like got divorced and other things who were a terrible mess in the real world. And so they're working with selves not by trying to get rid of them or banish them, but by shining a different kind of light on themso that they'll play better with the whole system of who you are.
