The Importance of Identity

This is a helix, essentially, this grip. It's the formation of spiral nebulae and it's the position of sexual intercourse. Where you have got two interlocked. What are they? Fishes, commas, fascinating emblem. You call it a monad, yes, but there it is. This is Yang, Yang, the white and Yin, the dark. There is no Yang without Yin, no Yin without Yang. So Yang and Yin are quite different from each other but just because they are different, they're identical. The saying goes in both Taoism and Buddhism, difference is identity. And neither one of us exists without the other.
