The electrate of social democratic partis has become very old. This is largely because younger voters support different parties tat are more liberal, progressive, green parties. In portugal too, the elect aro the socialist party was really older thi election. The samehas been the case in germany and the netherlands. But that doesn't mean that left leaning party should now focus just on the next generation of voters.
