The Fed's Inflationary Expectations
The last time the United States had significant inflation, it took Paul Faulkner in 1980 to push the Fed funds rate up to 19.5%. We're still at barely 5% right now. I think that we have already got embedded inflationary expectations. It's going to take an awful lot to shake that out of the system.
