Ellie Kemper: I got my job on the office and sort of around about way. "I believe, although I was never explicitly told that I was auditioning for Parks and Recreation," Jemima Kirshner said. She read from an untitled script in a room with Greg Daniels and Alice and Jones. The characters didn't have any names that matched the ones on what was to become Parks and Recreation. A few months later, there was an audition when Pam went to go work at the Michael Scott paper company.
