Is the Machine Learning Community Ready to Make a Contribution?

The pandemic just gave us a nice back drop to test these algarithms in this particular use case. We wanted to figure out if we could trust the results of these studies and if these models could be deployed safely. The technology is probably there to develop these models, but they have to be developed ately with the same level of care as when developing a vaccine.
