Ambrose's Condemnation of Priscillium

Bishop Ambrose harshly condemned the executions of Priscillium in 385. The move kind of backfired on Maximus, says historian Julian Zelizer. During his years as bishop, Ambrose so completely put his Nician stamp on Milan that by mid-380s Aryan minority had no place to worship. In 386 she asked for a small measure of consideration and was given one church in city center and one in suburbs.
