The Importance of Obedience in War
The crossing of the Jordan River has all sorts of echoes of the bread seed passing, the Exodus and so forth. It's meant to renew that entire sense that the obedience to the Torah is obedience to God, the liberator. Why do you think those children experience something similar? They went across on dry ground and they had, you know, an appearance from them, the commander of the army of God. What was the point of that for them? Well, that's an open question.
