The Clean Air Act of 1970 was modified in 1990 to combat urban smog and acid rain. This year just recently this month President Biden signed the Inflation Reduction Act which had very little to do with reducing inflation. It passed on party line votes, not one Republican voted for it. But what was interesting is this legislation it's a huge piece of legislation. There was no carbon tax three years ago.
