After she had this experience she went to the bishop and requested to be enclosed in an anchorhold. An anchorhold is a little building that was built onto the side of the church in town, the Catholic church in town. She did not leave the anchorhold. She spent her days praying. She spending her days reading scripture. That's when she wrote the longer version which is sort of a commentary on the short versionwhich would be like notes.
