You want to be careful about the fact that a lot of eyes actually are on you when you take maternity leave. A lot of younger women or women who may be planning families might see you back at work after six weeks and misinterpret it as pressure, she says. "If you're back so quickly, it could be a little tougher, maybe even disheartening for others"
Having a baby is exciting — and exhausting. Figuring out how to take parental leave, or manage someone who’s doing it, can add an extra wrinkle.
