The Crusade in Ireland
There are some hints and a few indications that the Gaelic kings and princes would have had an interest in crusades. It's just potentially we don't have the actual records. And there are connections via Scotland potentially to the holy lands. People have also pointed the fact that the fragment of the true cross that ends up in conflict at the time, potentially is come via that route as well. We do have a very evocative work of the Covagale Regal which is a sort of a propagandistic account of Brian Barrou's battle against the Dublin Vikings. But that's very much framed in a Christian war.
