The Importance of Fee Structures in Money Management
i think the greatest sin that has been foisted upon us by this what my partner john butford calls the financial friction industry is this idea that any of us who are moving money around create value we don't. The fee structures create so much wealth for the people who are managing those assets that they're almost forced to act contrary to their fiduciary responsibility mainly through growing their asset base. i love the model that you guys have at hedge which is more true to the original model of providing advice in a fiduciary capacity with an with an eye towards stewardship and force first doing no harm.
