Co-Investment Rights - What's the Motivation?
In our fund, we will often allow our investors to co-invest alongside of us. It's a way for them to not pay fees on their co-investment. So they do it to lower their overall fees. And the other piece is, depending on the size of the business, we may want to only use a certain percentage of our fund for that particular investment.
