Are We Discovering Dialectics Through Language?
Hegel's idea is that there must be a certain ontological structure in in being to make contradiction in language possible. In other words, the contradictions of being are just our a fact of our subjectivity. How could they ever emerge, unless there's some contradiction within being itself? And that, i think, is the most radical dimension of hegel's thought. We can trace the logic back from our symbolic structure, the structure of language, back to the precondition in being that makes it possible.
