The Product Mindset of a Platform Engineer
When you create a platform engineering team, you will likely to add people with most experience in areas the platform will cover. This can cause problem when the platform thing think they know if they know better than the development team. What we've been saying is that a platform needs to be treated as a product. It needs to have a product mindset. You need to understand your users. The challenge is that they have and what they want and based on that design the product. A product is never finished.
