Love, Pain, Grief, and Joy: Vol. 3, The Problem of Pain by C.S. Lewis
Wade Center
Is There a Union in Heaven?
Lewis makes a big point that will still be ourselves and will still be different in heaven. He says, if we all experience God in the same way and returned identical worship, then we would have no song to sing. I think that's a very positive picture of heaven. We don't sort of blend into one giant mass like pantheism. The distinction isn't necessarily set apart by virtue of our fullness or our sin. It's more ontological than that.
