The Classroom Management Piece Is Key
The class constitution is co-created between you and the students. This creates a really strong sense of belonging, a bond, a community to the class just by calling it something different. So when they come in on that first day, one of the first things I do is explain to them that they are no longer in school. And this is how I start the very first lesson with all my classes, all age groups, all levels every single year.
