Sheherazard is not merely a historical or even pseudo-historical figure. She's grown into a type, a heroine that lasts and makes an impact on the depiction of other queens and poets within various Arab sources and Arabian tradition. So she is actually important because understanding the way stories are told is to understand Sheherazard. And so you can't actually write about the historical queens of Arabia without knowing the stories of,. you know, a thousand and one night and SheherazardBecause you have to go through the way we tell stories in these medieval Arab sources in order to extricate, shall we say, fact from fiction. So absolutely.
