The Scandal of the Gospel

The scandal of the gospel is that Jesus was born without sin and never did commit sin. And you can see that this is scandalous when Jesus alludes to these claims in the gospels. There's even a subtle accusation in John's gospel that Mary probably had him out of wedlock with an inappropriate relationship. So as we look through the lineage here, starting with Abraham, um, and we see these sinners, uh, everything is represented there.
